This is an invitation-only ride for the NZ motorcycle industry and selected motorcycle club members. It is the ultimate one day guided off-road bike ride. Over 160km is covered as the invited riders navigate the eastern and northern boundaries of the Waiouru training area. Check out the photos from 2008.

Tekapo Tamer 2011

Friday 28 to Sunday 30 January 2011

TEKAPO TAMER is a two and a half day trail ride utilising up to 400 square kilometres of land between Lake Pukaki and Lake Tekapo, including the Army Tekapo training area plus adjoining private farms. The ride is based at the Tekapo Army Camp and involves a variety of marked trails up to 40km in length plus guided groups for the longer trails which are not marked. Check out the photos from 2010.

Tussock Buster 2011

Friday 25 to Sunday 27 March 2011

TUSSOCK BUSTER is a two-day trail ride held at Waiouru and utilising the 63,000 hectare Army training area. Camping on Friday and Saturday nights is provided on the Waiouru rugby club fields. Hot showers, flush toilets, a rugby club bar, large flat screen TV, and Army cooked meals are available. Check out the YouTube video and photos from 2008/2009.
